The drawing I created for the Art for Japan auction is up for bids now.
All proceeds of the sales will go to aid Japan.
Please take some time to look at the work that's for sale.

It always makes me smile, though.
Hope it makes you smile too.

Art for Japan

I am participating in an art auction to benefit Japan in their time of hardship.
Meg Hunt and her sister Alice have been good enough to put this whole thing together.
I'm very happy to be a part of this.
This is the piece I am submitting

If you are interested in bidding for wonderful artwork and giving money to a good cause, make sure to keep up to date with Meg's blog.
I will also be posting updates.
Spread the word!

I've been drawing animals a lot lately, this is my latest.
I like it as a pattern, who knows where this will lead.

It's about damn time.

I have been neglecting this little space I have here for myself and my work. There's no need for that anymore. This past weekend I graduated from Art Center with my BFA in Illustration. I am still recovering from the madness of this past term, but have come to the realization that even though I will miss the place, it was time to get out and move on. For our Grad show, my talented friends and I put our bodies of work up in the hallways at school.

In the above photo:
Me, Laura Schlipf, Sarah Estrada, Cassia Lupo, Evangeline Joo, Heesun Kim, Haelee Kang, Jackie Yoo, Sarah Shoemaker, Anna Topuriya, James Chong, Dana Collins

I am incredibly happy to have shared my time at school with these wonderful people.
I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to graduate with.
I can't wait to see what they make next.
This was my little wall space.
Another thing that needed to be done was to get my website up and running, and I am glad to report that it is indeed what has happened. Please go and take a look.

Waiting

I made this piece a few months ago, and I got some wonderful photographs taken of it yesterday by Vahe D'Ala

Blue Haiti

This piece for Op Ed is for an article about what Haiti is like months after the earthquake this past January. Find the article here.

Come home before dark Opening

The opening of "Come home before Dark" was last Saturday at Active Ride Shop in Valencia, Ca.
Anna Topuriya and I headed out there to see what was going on.
Here are a few pics from that night:

 My pieces
This is a better view of the large piece above.
It's a lithograph.
The only difference is that the one included
in the show has a wash of ink.
I guess I lied in the previous post.
This is actually the latest piece I've made that includes a cow.
so...in fact, not over the whole cow thing...

Cow

I have been wanting to draw cows and bulls for a while.
I don't know why sometimes I get urges to draw certain things.
Before the cows, it was houses (still sort of is houses.)
I finally got my chance to make a finished piece with a cow in it a few weeks ago.
This piece got the cows and bulls out of my system.
